I’m a reporter for NBC News covering Capitol Hill, elections and the intersection of politics and public policy in Washington. I’ve reported on multiple presidential elections, countless legislative battles in Congress, leadership races and consequential investigations. I’ve also covered the dynamics between the White House and Capitol Hill under trifectas and periods of divided government. I write for NBCNews.com and appear regularly on MSNBC and NBC News Now.

I graduated with a B.A. in economics and government from Claremont McKenna College. In Washington, I got my start as a health care policy reporter for multiple publications and most recently worked at Bloomberg News, covering politics and a variety of policy issues. I’ve also appeared on CBS, ABC, Fox News, CNN, PBS and NPR to discuss my reporting.
