Jacob William Rees-Mogg (born 24 May 1969) is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Somerset since the general election of 2010. A member of the Conservative Party, he has been ideologically characterised as a High Tory and social conservative with reactionary, traditionalist views, as a right-wing populist or as on the far right of the Conservative Party.
