Rachael Pacella is the Naval Academy and education reporter for the Capital Gazette. She previously worked for the Baltimore Sun Media group as a reporter covering Towson, Catonsville and Arbutus in Baltimore County. She moved to Baltimore from Berlin, Maryland, “America’s Coolest Small Town.” She previously covered environmental issues on the Delmarva peninsula and is a graduate of the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
