Muhammad bin Ali bin Muhammad al-Mukhtar al-Shanqiti began his education in the Qur’anic schools where he memorized the Holy Qur’an along with the most important abbreviated texts in the arts of knowledge known according to the custom of the people of the land of Shinqit from the year 1975 to 1983 AD.

He entered the basic formal education and combined it with his original education in the most important schools known as (Al-Muhadhar). He completed the basic educational stages and obtained a high school diploma in Arabic and Islamic literature in 1987 AD.

He joined the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies and Research as a student in 1987 AD, and joined the Faculty of Law at the University of Nouakchott in 1987 AD at the same time.
He received a scholarship from the Islamic University of Medina in 1990 AD, and enrolled in the College of Sharia, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Jurisprudence and its Principles in 1994 AD.

He obtained a general diploma in education from the College of Da’wah from 1992 to 1994.
