Michael Saltsman is the research director at the Employment Policies Institute. Saltsman came to EPI from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, where he was a field economist who worked with data related to the labor market. He studied economics at the University of Michigan. As research director of EPI—an organization that has spent the last 20 years studying minimum wages and their consequences—he regularly works with economists on research related to employment, mandates, and the labor market.
