PERSON: Janelle Burrell

Janelle Burrell is a general assignment news reporter covering the New York City tri-state area and its suburbs.

Janelle is a native New Yorker, born in Brooklyn and raised in the Hudson Valley. She began her career working behind the scene at television stations in New York City before reporting in the city as a graduate student. She then went on to become an on-air reporter in upstate New York and a couple years later made her way back downstate, covering Westchester and the Hudson Valley area. She's now back where she started, in New York City, as a general assignment reporter covering the five boroughs and the surrounding suburbs.

Janelle is a graduate of Penn State and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
