Lauren Zelt brings more than one decade of experience working in the media and communications space to FP1 Strategies. Most recently, she served as deputy communications director and press secretary for U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte. During the 2012 election cycle, Zelt worked as director of media affairs for Romney for President, following her tenure at the Republican National Committee.

Before entering politics, Zelt worked at the Fox News Channel as a segment producer and guest booker for America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Martha MacCallum, America’s News HQ and America’s Election HQ political specials. In that role, she prepared distinguished guests, anchors and producers for on air-interviews. She has also held positions at CBS News and at KDKA-TV, located in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.

Zelt graduated cum laude from Georgetown University following her career as a professional ballet dancer with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Pacific Northwest Ballet.
