Biography
Former Sanford Police Chief. Lee served 27 years with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, retiring as a Captain in 2009. He was named police chief in 2011.
Lee was fired from his position in June 2012 after drawing criticism for his department’s actions in the Trayvon Martin shooting death investigation in February 2012. Lee had previously stepped down temporarily amidst the investigation, calling himself a “distraction.”
