Biography
Antjuan Seawright has led many extensive grassroots and strategic efforts for political and corporate clients at Sunrise Communications, where he previously served as President/CEO of the company. Antjuan has also managed non-profit, government and sports marketing clients throughout his career.
EDUCATION
Antjuan is a 2008 graduate of Winthrop University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing, and a 2010 graduate of Webster University where he received his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Seawright is also a graduate of the Governor Dick Riley Institute at Furman University (2012) and of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute for Political Education and Leadership Training in Washington, DC (2012).
IN THE COMMUNITY
Antjuan is very active in the community. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the James R. Clark Memorial Sickle Cell Foundation, Sistercare, Family Connections of South Carolina, Columbia Animal Mission, The Columbia Township Auditorium and The Midlands Community Development Corporation and is a co-founder of the Talented Tenth Columbia.
He previously served as a board member for Carolina School for Inquiry (Richland School District One Public Charter School), The Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Navigating from Good to Great Foundation and the Columbia Free Medical Clinic.
AWARDS AND HONORS
In 2010, Antjuan was named South Carolina TRIO Alumni of the Year. In January 2011, he was named to the State Newspaper’s Top 20 Under 40and received the Brodie Thomas Leadership Award for dedicated Community Service & Leadership. He was awarded the “Rising Star” award by the South Carolina New Democrats. In 2014, he was named to the South Carolina Black Pages inaugural Top 40 Under 40 young professionals in the State of South Carolina. Recently he received the Congressman Jim Clyburn and Congressman John Spratt Public Service Award and The Best and Brightest Under 40 by Columbia Business Magazine. Not recently he was named Young Alumni of Year by Winthrop University (2016).
He is a weekly political analyst for several national and local media outlets. He also serves as the host of “Insight with Antjuan Seawright,” a weekly radio show on WGCV 620 and 96.3 FM in South Carolina.
