As a member of one of the most prestigious and busiest SWAT teams in the United States, I am a veteran of more than 3000 live missions. I was responsible for response and resolution of hostage/barricade situations. As assistant team leader, I led Red Team SWAT on numerous high risk warrant services as well as developed tactical plans for critical incidents. I often acted in the capacity of SWAT Sergeant, directing SWAT officers on day to day operations. I provided training and developed lesson plans for academy, in service training and outside agencies and provided dignitary protection for domestic and foreign heads of state. In 2000, I was one of five SWAT operators who created LVMPD’s active shooter tactical protocol, and subsequently instructed the tactic to over 3000 law enforcement officers in Southern Nevada. In 2007, I became one of only two POST certified police sniper instructors in the state of Nevada.
