Biography

Omar H. Noureldin is a lawyer, law professor, and political activist. He is equal parts policy wonk and community organizer, and is an expert in national security law, first amendment law, and civil rights law.
He is a Lecturer in Law at the USC Gould School of Law, his alma mater, where he teaches an upper-division seminar on judicial decision-making. He draws on his professional experiences in the private, government, and nonprofit sectors to lead MPAC’s strategy, programs, and national fundraising.
Previously, Omar was a litigation attorney at a national law and lobbying firm. He counseled technology and media company clients on consumer privacy issues and represented pro bono undocumented minors, HIV/AIDS discrimination victims, and foster children in both legal and administrative proceedings.
As a federal judicial law clerk to Chief U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips on the U.S. District Court, Omar advised the Chief Judge on civil rights, first amendment, national security, criminal, intellectual property, and complex business litigation cases.
Omar has been active with MPAC for over 10 years, first as a volunteer and then as a member of the national Board of Directors. He served as Board vice chair and chair of the Board’s Development and Governance committees.
He graduated in the top ten percent of his class at USC Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Omar was a student supervisor in the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic and a teaching assistant in the Law, Language, and Values program. He received his B.S.F.S. in science, technology, and international affairs from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
