On September 2, 2014, Larry Byrne became the Deputy Commissioner for Legal Matters at the NYC Police Department.
Larry was a litigation partner in the New York office of Pepper Hamilton LLP and a managing director at Freeh Group International Solutions from 2013-2014. Larry is also a former federal prosecutor who previously served with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan and the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., from 1988 to 1994.
Prior to joining Pepper, he served as the head of the U.S. litigation practice from 2006 to 2011, co-managing partner of the New York office from 2007 to 2011 and co-head of the global U.S. practice from 2009 to 2011 at Linklaters.
