Biography

Samuel Scott Page was elected as the Sheriff of Rockingham County North Carolina in 1998 and continues serving in this capacity to the present day. Sheriff Page has 30+ years of experience in law enforcement, beginning his career as a K-9 Handler in the United States Air Force in 1975. During his distinguished career, Sheriff Page has performed a variety of law enforcement duties such as Patrolman, Criminal Investigator, and Administrator. Sheriff Page served as President of the North Carolina Sheriff’s Association for the 2010-2011 term. Sheriff Page strives daily to emprove the level of training and technology at the Sheriff’s Office to better serve and protect the citizens of Rockingham County.

Over the past few years, Sheriff Page has become a leader among law enforcement officials in demanding that the U.S. Government do something to secure our porous national borders. Millions of dollars worth of illegal drugs are flowing across these borders daily, and in two to three days time, are in every state, city and town in America. Sheriff Page has travelled to the U.S.- Mexico Border on two separate occasions, once in 2010 and again in 2012, seeing first hand the dangers plaguing law enforcement officials and residents in those areas.


Sheriff Page has also made several trips to Washington, DC over the past year to address Congressional Leaders and their Staffs, hoping to inspire change to our Nation’s current immigration policy. Sheriff Page does not believe this should be a political issue, it’s an issue of national security; and has relayed this message repeatedly to those his has spoken with on Capitol Hill.
