PERSON: Coy Wire

Full-time anchor and correspondent/Former NFL player

Coy is CNN’s Sports Anchor & Correspondent, a member of HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade, and Weekend Express with Lynn Smith.

Coy is also a 9-year NFL veteran, former Team Captain for the Atlanta Falcons & Buffalo Bills, and graduate of Stanford University.

During his playing days, Coy received honors such as the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award with the Buffalo Bills, and the Ed Block Courage Award after being voted by his Atlanta Falcons teammates as a role model of inspiration, sportsmanship and courage.

Continuing his inspirational impact, Coy wrote a book geared towards youth titled, “Change Your Mind”. He has spoken about leadership to students, troops, sales teams, and executives at organizations such as UPS, the U.S. Military, and the U.S. Department of Education.
