Christine C. Quinn (born July 25, 1966) is a Democratic politician and the current speaker of the New York City Council. The third person to hold this office, Quinn is the first female and first openly gay speaker.

In 2007, the New York Post named Quinn the third-most powerful woman in New York, after Hillary Rodham Clinton and Diane Sawyer.

On March 10, 2013, Quinn announced her candidacy for mayor of New York.
