Dana Griffin joined KCRA 3 in June 2015 as a general assignment reporter. You can watch Dana report during KCRA’s evening newscasts, Sunday to Thursday.

Prior to moving to Sacramento, Dana was a reporter and fill-in anchor in Providence, Rhode Island.

While in New England, Dana covered the Aaron Hernandez murder trial, the New England Blizzard of 2015 and went through intense firefighter training for a story.

Her career began at KIEM in Eureka, Calif., where she was the weekend anchor and reporter. Prior to her first move to Northern California, Dana worked behind the scenes in her hometown at Fox 5 News in Atlanta. She also worked as an extras casting recruiter for MTV’s show “Teen Wolf.”

Dana graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University.

She has a passion for giving back and often volunteers with community-supported organizations. She’s a member of NABJ and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Technically trained in ballet and jazz as a child, Dana went on to dance in college, and hopes to get back to perfecting her pirouettes and Jetés.

Dana loves to travel and is always down for an adventure!
