Rebecca Cardenas is a 2015 graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, with a B.A. in communications and French language. She was raised in the suburbs of Washington D.C. by a Brazilian mother and a Cuban-American father, and now calls Tampa, Florida home. She fell in love with broadcast journalism after touring CNN Center, Atlanta at age 13, and has been actively pursuing that passion ever since. An avid consumer of current events, and a lover of people, writing, and travel, television news was the perfect fit. Other passions include singing and performance, hobbies she enjoyed while in high school and college.
