More than 25 years experience providing Fortune 500 companies with strategic corporate communications support and counsel, Mike has worked with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders to create and protect the images and reputations of national and international organizations, their operating divisions and both corporate and product brands. He has comprehensive knowledge, experience, skills, capabilities, character and professionalism that help organizations effectively formulate and deliver strategic business messages in a credible way and create value. Key audiences have included the investment community, news media, customers, regulators, non-government organizations (NGOs), suppliers, employees and other relevant parties.

In his most recent role as Vice President of Corporate Communications for Constellation Brands, the world’s largest wine producer and an S&P Index 500 and Fortune 500 company, Mike built a high-energy, results-focused, creative, assertive, accountable and adaptable external communications team.

Prior to joining Constellation Brands, Mike led the external communications efforts at Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. (Cadbury Schweppes) and Santa Fe and BNSF Railways. In 2003, he and his team generated more than $42 million in verified publicity value for Dr Pepper/Seven Up beverage brands, with an ROI of more than 30. While at Santa Fe and BNSF Railways, Mike was responsible for community and media relations in 13 states while honing his crisis communications skills as spokesperson.

Mike earned an MBA from Pepperdine University, a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University Northridge, and was selected by Santa Fe Railway’s management to represent the company at a business, management and economics program at the University of Southern California (USC).
