Loretta Lepore is the founder of Lepore Associates, LLC, a strategic communications and government relations firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Lepore joined the government affairs practice of the national law firm of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP as a senior advisor where she managed a diverse portfolio of global technology, healthcare, emerging biotech and life sciences, and insurance clients. Prior to joining MLA, Lepore was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue as director of marketing and communications for the Georgia Department of Economic Development where she oversaw the state’s economic development marketing; positioning the state for job growth and international investment. She was instrumental in re-energizing the state’s brand and launched award-winning commerce and tourism campaigns that focused on the state’s logistics infrastructure, bioscience industry and leisure travel market.
Lepore also worked as press secretary for the Ofce of the Governor where she served as the primary spokesperson as well as a voice in policy, strategic planning and management decisions. One of her most notable achievements was serving as the state’s chief communications liaison with the White House for the G8 Sea Island Summit in Sea Island, Georgia.
Lepore began her journalism career as a reporter and anchor for WJTC-TV in Pensacola, Florida.
She joined CNN in 1992 and was an anchor on CNN Headline News for six years. She covered international news events for multiple CNN networks and earned a national news Emmy for her role in the network’s coverage of the 1996 Olympic Park Bombing.
