A native of Teaneck, N.J., Gerard is an alumnus of the University of Maryland, College Park where he earned a B.A. in Radio-TV-Film, graduating with honors. Gerard, his wife Terry, daughter Baylor Leanne, son Benjamin Jeremiah, and daughter Bria Lyn reside outside of Atlanta.

Gerard Henry is the creator and original host of the highly rated Black Entertainment Television, Inc. (BET) Gospel music video show, “Lift Every Voice: featuring up-close and personal interviews with leading Gospel Artists and Preachers in the nation. He is the author of Voices of Inspiration (New Motivational and Spiritual reflections from some of today’s most inspiring voices) published by BET Books, and Sex at its Best: Going A.W.O.L. (Abstinence Without Lust).

“Gerard’s latest book, Seductive Delusions: Exposing Lies About Sex, published by Moody Publishing represents his latest initiative to promote a culture of sexual integrity vs. sexual perversion.

Whether as a TV personality, a Published Author, or an Inspirational Speaker, Gerard Henry is driven to engage the culture with a consciousness of God’s relevance in every aspect of life.

Gerard Henry has been leading ministry since 1988 where he founded and led a prayer group at his High School. This continued in college where he not only led bible meetings at the University of Maryland in College Park but became a national student leader of New Generation Campus Ministries. Although in 1995, Gerard received an Associates in Pastoral Theology from Hope Bible College, he did not formerly receive his ordination papers until September 2011.

Recognized by the Fellowship of International Churches where Bishop Wellington Boone is the Prelate. Gerard is currently establishing the groundwork to launch an on-line church experience that has a special emphasis on healthy family and healthy relationships.
