Scottie Nell Hughes is the news director and chief journalist for the Tea Party News Network as well as a contributor to Patriot.TV and PatriotUpdate.com. Her stories include on the street interview packages to entertaining yet revealing interviews with some of the most notorious names in both politics and Hollywood. <br> <br> Scottie Nell’s interviews have been linked on top sites like Drudge Report, Breitbart, The Blaze, World Net Daily, The Daily Caller with several stories going viral. Scottie also serves as a columnist for TownhallFinance.com and Townhall.com and on the speaker circuit for Americans for Prosperity. Along with being in front of the camera, Scottie Nell Hughes, has a well established base in the talk radio media. <br> <br> Having started at the very beginning as the executive producer of the Steve Gill Show in Nashville, TN, Scottie Nell used her early years in radio to learn every element of a successful talk radio program. She eventually accepted roles with several nationally syndicated talk shows like the Rusty Humphries Show, The Jerry Doyle Show, The Michael Berry Show, The Mark Skoda Show and many others. <br> <br> Currently, Scottie Nell is signed exclusively as a contributor to all Talk Radio Network programing. Over the last 10 years, Scottie Nell has organized broadcasts from the Republican and Democrat National Conventions (for which she was awarded a Nashville Air Award in 2005), numerous national primaries, as well as the White House and the Pentagon and she was assigned to the White House Press Corps for Inauguration 2005. <br> <br> She also was in the first group of radio talk show hosts sent by the Department of Defense to travel to the frontlines of Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq and Kuwait as well as the detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. <br> <br> A Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a broadcast communications/ political science degree, Scottie Nell realized her calling for a life in political journalism at the young age of 12 with her first reporting job as a Kids to Kids Reporter for WKRN-ABC Nashville.
