Biography

Brad Galli, a Detroit native, hosts The Now at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the 7 Sports Cave on Sunday. Brad grew up in Metro Detroit and is inspired by ordinary people in the city doing extraordinary things. Those are the moments Brad thrives off of — and the moments he loves bringing to life on TV.

Brad earned his first Emmy in 2014 when he was named Best Sports Reporter in Michigan by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He had previously been nominated in 2012 and 2013. He also received a Merit Award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for Best Sportscast in 2014.

Before joining The Now, Brad worked as a Sports Reporter and Anchor at WXYZ. Going inside NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, and NCAA locker rooms he found one consistent factor in all: at the end of the day athletes are people. Their backgrounds go further than sports. Bringing those tales, and stories like them, to the loyal viewers of WXYZ is something Brad enjoyed most.

Brad lives in Beverly Hills and attended Brother Rice High School. He joined WXYZ in 2011.
