Jason Zengerle works as a political correspondent for GQMagazine and a contributing editor of NYMag. He was the former senior editor of The New Republic and prior to that he was a senior staff writer for POLITICO Magazine. He has contributed to GQ in the past, having written pieces for the publication on Senator Rand Paul in 2010 and a profile of Senator Ted Cruz in 2013. His work has been anthologized in several books, including The Best American Political Writing, The Best American Medical Writing and Next Wave: America’s New Generation of Great Literary Journalists. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Swarthmore College.
