PERSON: James Fillmore

James knew in high school that he would one day work at a television station as a journalist. He’s no stranger to Michiana. James grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan but he’s been visiting the South Bend area for years. He got his journalism degree from Central Michigan University.

Soon after graduation he started working at WJFW in Rhinelander, Wisconsin as a morning anchor, producer and reporter. From there James moved on to WICD in Champaign, Illinois where he worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for news.

James now works here at WSBT as a Multimedia Journalist. He enjoys an active lifestyle whether that be running through the streets of South Bend, kayaking the St. Joe River or cross country skiing in Berrien County. When he’s not working on his next story James enjoys visiting with family and friends, hanging out with his dog Luigi and going to the gym.
