Katie Rose Waldman Miller (née Waldman; born October 4, 1991) is an American conservative political advisor who has served in a range of high-level roles for Republican politicians.
Miller served as a deputy press secretary under U.S. President Donald Trump at the United States Department of Homeland Security from 2017 to 2019. She was the communications director for Vice President Mike Pence from 2020 to 2021 and acted as his press secretary from 2019 to 2020.
Miller was an advisor and spokesperson for the Department of Government Efficiency from January to May 2025, when she departed DOGE to work for Elon Musk in the private sector. She is married to presidential advisor Stephen Miller.
Katie Rose Waldman Miller was born Katie Rose Waldman in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 4, 1991. She is the daughter of attorney Glenn Waldman and Sheryl Waldman (née Bekoff). She is Jewish. She attended Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida, graduating in 2010.
In 2014, Miller earned her BA from the University of Florida, where she was active in the student government’s Unite Party. In 2012, Miller and another student were found stealing copies of The Independent Florida Alligator from campus newspaper dispensers, after the publication reported a front-page story about then-football head coach Will Muschamp’s endorsement of a rival party’s candidate for student vice president. She attended George Washington University, where she earned a Master of Public Policy.
