Daniel Calhoon Turrentine (born September 21, 1977) is a political operative who formerly worked for the Democratic Party. As of 2025, he co-hosts a political show on the 2WAY Network called The Morning Meeting with Mark Halperin and Sean Spicer.
Daniel Calhoon Turrentine was born in New Haven, Connecticut, to J. Drake and Joann Butrico Turrentine. His father was a Yale-educated lawyer who was a partner at Wiggin & Dana in New Haven, CT, before going to work as chief legal officer for the Special Olympics in Washington D.C. His mother was a teacher in CT before becoming a floral designer in D.C.. Turrentine has two sisters.
Turrentine graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School in 1996, and Lafayette College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
