Dion Nissenbaum is a national security reporter based in Washington for The Wall Street Journal. He covers the defense industry and the Pentagon.

Previously, Nissenbaum was based in Kabul, Afghanistan as a senior correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. Before joining the paper, he served as a Middle East correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers and Knight Ridder Newspapers.

He was raised in Massachusetts and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.
