Biography
Jasmine Huda co-anchors News 4 at 5 with Sharon Reed. A St. Louis native, she has served as anchor and reporter for the KMOV-TV news team since 2010.
Jasmine was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2014 “40 Under 40” list. She is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award and a regional Emmy Award winner for News Special. Her other honors include “Best Female TV Personality” by ALIVE Magazine, “Best TV Newsperson” by St. Louis Magazine; and an Outstanding Media Award by the National Alliance on Mental Illness-NAMI St. Louis. Jasmine has been featured in The 9s, St. Louis’ men’s lifestyle magazine, as well as The New York Times and Forbes.com
Jasmine holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan, where she reported for National Public Radio. She has also held positions with NPR and Fox News Channel in Washington D.C. Her notable assignments with FNC include work as a field producer at the New Hampshire Republican Primary, the Democratic National Convention, and the G8 Summit. She later worked as a reporter for KSPR-TV in Springfield, MO and a reporter and weekend anchor for KSDK-TV in St. Louis, MO.
Jasmine is a member of the Executive Leadership Team for The American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” campaign in St. Louis. The organization presented her with the 2013 Mission Impact Award for her communications work as an AHA volunteer. Jasmine also serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Louis Public Library Foundation, as well as the boards of CHARACTERplus and The Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis. She participates in a variety of events supporting local organizations, including Forest Park Forever and The National Council of Jewish Women’s Back 2 School Store.
In her spare time, Jasmine enjoys Sunday morning talk shows, running, yoga, and over-priced lattes.
