James Blair (born 1988 or 1989) is a United States political advisor and founder of Rapid Loop Consulting. Since January 20, 2025, he has served as White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative, Political and Public Affairs.
Blair advised Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran until 2018. He joined the Ron DeSantis campaign as an advisor during the 2018 Florida gubernatorial election and served as DeSantis’ deputy chief of staff. He was political director of the Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign.
In November 2024, Trump announced Blair’s appointment as deputy chief of staff for legislative, political and public affairs. Politico reported that James Blair was among the White House employees irritated by Elon Musk’s failure to consult them before making decisions with the Department of Government Efficiency.
