Biography
Danica De Giorgio is a presenter and host at Sky News Australia.
In 2024, Danica was named host of the newly launched program Prime Time, airing Fridays at 7pm on Sky News Australia. She also co-hosts Danica & James with James Macpherson on Sundays at 8pm.
Danica has more than a decade of experience working in some of Australia’s most dynamic television and radio newsrooms. Her vast range of experience in breaking news reporting, includes the 2022 Northern Rivers Flood Disaster, the search for William Tyrrell’s remains, the death of Prince Phillip and the NSW Black Summer Bushfires. Danica has also anchored live rolling coverage of the 2020 US election and Capitol Hill Riots.
Recently, Danica was part of the Sky News Australia team that covered the coronation of King Charles III in London and Comic-Con International in San Diego.
Having joined the team in November 2015, Danica has also held the position of Sky News Perth Bureau Chief and Sydney Reporter. Prior to joining Sky News Danica held the position of reporter and newsreader with radio station 6PR and was also a newsreader with Curtin FM.
Danica has a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Journalism and Public Relations.
