Biography
A native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Jason Paul Houser recently served as the Chief of Staff for Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) between 2021 and 2023. Between 2009 & 2013, Mr. Houser served as an Assistant Director of the Legislative Affairs Congress and Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Between 2014 & 2015, he served as a Senior Advisor to the Commissioner within DHS’s Customs & Border Protection (CBP). As a Naval Reserve Officer in 2015, I was recalled to active military duty. Mr. Houser was deployed as an Intelligence Officer supporting Afghan forces- where he served with distinction. Beginning in 2016, Jason served as a Foreign Engagement Officer for the United States Cyber Command, overseeing the European and Israeli partnership. After completing his degree at the University of Tennessee, Jason earned a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University. Jason is a 2013 Harvard Kennedy School National Security Program & Executive Fellow Program graduate.
