Biography
Anoushah Rasta is a Southern California native. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied Mass Communications and Public Policy and graduated with honors. While in college, she was a video journalist for UCLA’s esteemed student media organization, The Daily Bruin.
Anoushah was also a production intern for KTLA, one of the local TV news stations in Los Angeles. She covered weekly tapings for the Fox program,“So You Think You Can Dance?” where she interviewed contestants cut from the show.
After graduating from college, Anoushah worked for KABC-TV as a news assistant, apprentice, and later, a freelance traffic producer. While at KABC, Anoushah was on the production team for the 84th Academy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2012.
Anoushah was also a reporter for Life & Style Weekly, an entertainment publication. She has interviewed celebrities like Betty White, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ciara, Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum.
Anoushah speaks fluent French, Farsi and conversational Spanish. She believes journalism is an important public service and a crucial component of the democratic process.
