Mychael Schnell is a Breaking News Reporter at The Hill ​newspaper, where she covers politics, policy and general news. She writes between 10-12 articles a day on a variety of beats, with some of her favorites being Capitol Hill, the White House, campaigns and foreign affairs. Her stories have garnered 10,000+ shares and page views, and have been picked up by a number of national news organizations.

​Mychael is a December 2020 graduate of The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs, with degrees in Journalism & Mass Communication and Political Science. Since a young age, she has had a passion to “tell the story,” which led her to pursue an education and career in journalism. Through her studies at GW and her time living in Washington, D.C. Mychael has had several meaningful experiences and internships that have prepared her for a career in political journalism.
