Vanessa is a motivational speaker based in Southeast Texas and an Emmy nominated journalist with over 25 years of news experience. She currently covers national politics with the Right Side Broadcasting Network. Prior to that, Vanessa was a news anchor in Southeast Texas, covering news in her hometown. With a Radio/Television Broadcast Journalism degree from Sam Houston State University, she has experience in news producing, reporting and anchoring.
Vanessa Broussard lost her husband Tom in 2019 to cancer. Losing a loved one is not only devastating, but all encompassing. At the time of his passing, she was pregnant with a baby boy Tommy.
Vanessa lost her baby boy at birth. She then went through invitro-fertilization 6 months later and became pregnant with Tom’s baby Marty.
After conquering her own battles, she began traveling the country to speak at various events on grief and loss, inspiring those in the audience to live their “Best Day Ever” despite their struggles.
