Biography
Chief Judge Robert McBurney is a judge on the Superior Court of Fulton County. McBurney was first appointed to the court by Governor Nathan Deal in February 2012. In 2014, McBurney was elected to a full term to succeed Judge Marvin S. Arrington. He was elected by the other superior court judges the Chief Judge of the court on February 1, 2018. Prior to joining the court, McBurney was senior counsel for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Juris Doctor degree from the Harvard School of Law.
