Biography

James has been managing investment portfolios for institutional and individual investors for over 30 years. He has experience in all aspects of investment management including equity and fixed income research, trading and portfolio management. He has particular expertise in macro-economic research and risk management and is responsible for creating the firm’s Active Risk Management processes. He is a seasoned wealth manager and is experienced in the areas of retirement, financial, estate and tax planning.<br> <br> James is the author of two investment books. The award winning Journey To Wealth and his latest book focused on endowments entitled, The Sustainable Endowment. He has authored numerous articles on finance and investment management and his work has appeared in many financial publications including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, BusinessWeek and Fortune.<br> <br> James is a sought after speaker and provides audiences with a wide range of investment topics. He has spoken for a number of public and private organizations, including the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) and Charles Schwab.<br> <br> A devoted philanthropist, James was nominated as the 2018-19 Citizen Of The Year for his dedication of giving back to both the local and global community. He is a member of Forbes Finance Council, Foundation Source, The CFA Institute and the Financial Planning Association.<br> <br> James past experience includes positions with LF Rothschild and Lehman Brothers before founding Main Street in 1993.
