In Tennessee, my reporting prompted the speaker of the House and top legislative staff to resign in scandal and uncovered hundreds of millions of dollars in wasted federal grants intended to help the state’s working poor.

I won the Malcolm Law Award for Investigative Reporting from Tennessee’s AP Broadcasters & Media Editors for a series on the state’s stockpile of unused TANF block grants.
