Tiffany Smiley of Pasco, WA is the President and Co-Founder of Hope Unseen LLC, which is a public speaking forum founded by her and her husband. In addition, Tiffany runs operations for TiffanySmiley.com, which involves conference planning, media contributions and publications. In 2005, while her husband, Major (Retired) Scotty Smiley, was deployed in Iraq, he was severely injured by a suicide car bomb. As a result of this injury, he became the first blind active duty officer in the United States Army. At the time of his injury, Tiffany was working as a full-time nurse with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and resigned to become a full-time caregiver for Scotty. In what seemed like the blink of an eye, along with being a caregiver to her husband, Tiffany became the mother to three young children, President and Co-Founder of her and her husband’s business, and founder of TiffanySmiley.com. As someone who devoted her life to managing everything for a family of five and a blind spouse, Tiffany found herself feeling empty, unable to provide for anyone else. In retrospect, Tiffany is grateful for the path her life took and the experiences that gave her the power to make real change in the lives of others. Tiffany uses her platform, TiffanySmiley.com, to empower women to overcome whatever circumstance they are facing, and to uncover true joy and purpose in their lives. Through her website and conferences, she helps women share their journeys with confidence to impact and change their communities. Additionally, Tiffany works tirelessly in her community, in her state and on a national level as a fierce advocate for veterans, caregivers and their families.
