Biography
Leigh is the Chief Communications Officer at Patriot Mobile. She co-created and runs the Southlake Families PAC who brought awareness to a nationwide issue of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and led a monumental campaign that resulted in a higher municipal voter turnout in the history of the Southlake Carroll School District and with a 70/30 margin defeated liberal pro CRT candidates.
Leigh Wambsganss started her professional career as a television news anchor, reporter and producer. She was a congressional staffer during the Republican Revolution in the early 1990’s and ran congressional campaigns professionally. Leigh has a background in telecommunications government relations and philanthropic management and has run her own successful small business for 20 years.
Leigh has been a conservative leader in north Texas politics for decades. She has organized, fundraised and lead hundreds of campaigns and conservative movements all on a volunteer non-paid basis. She has served as a Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee member for over a decade and was a founding member, VP Campaigns and Legislative Committee Chair for the Republican Women of North Texas. She spearheaded power grid legislation with the Texas Eagle Forum, served on the pro-life Mercy House Ministries Board of Directors, and was the first ever GRACE Gala Chair for which she received a Tarrant County Shining Star award. Leigh is a lifetime member of the NRA.
Leigh holds an M.A. in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma. She and her husband, Andy, reside in the DFW area with their two sons.
