Biography

Monique Lopez is a general assignment reporter for FOX 11 News.

Monique comes to FOX 11 from WLUC-TV in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where she worked as the Iron Mountain-Kingsford bureau reporter.

While at WLUC, Monique produced stories that gained national recognition and played a key role in the station receiving the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for Station of the Year.

Monique is a Southern California native but is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where she earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication. During her time in college, Monique interned at the Harlem Globetrotters in Phoenix and anchored, reported and produced at the campus radio station, KASC “The Blaze” 1330 AM.

Monique is a self-professed sports fanatic, especially when it comes to her Dallas Cowboys and ASU Sun Devils but, being born and raised in Los Angeles, she is also a tried-and-true Dodgers, Lakers and Kings fan.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, family and friends. Monique says she is up for almost anything and, having just moved to the area, she welcomes any fun, exciting suggestions! She is thrilled to be continuing her career here at FOX 11 and is looking forward to what the Green Bay/Fox Cities area brings.

If you see her out and about, she enjoys meeting new people, so feel free to say hi and share any story ideas you may have.
