Fumi Abe is a Japanese-American stand-up comedian/writer based in Los Angeles who recently made his TV debut on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
He has written for NPR’s “Wait Wait...Don’t Tell Me!,” the 2022 TIME100 Gala hosted by Simu Liu, was part of the 2020 Comedy Central Digital Creators Program, and was most recently a staff writer on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
He’s the creator and original host of the comedy podcast “Asian Not Asian,” which was most recently included in Vulture’s Comedy Podcast Roundup as well as The AV Club’s Podcast series highlights.
Fumi currently produces and hosts Cash Cuties, a “super personal” finance podcast where Fumi & Steffie Baik analyze their friends’ credit card statements and judge their spending habits - with love
