Biography
Natasha S. Alford is vice president of digital content and senior correspondent at theGrio, where she helps lead a national team reporting the most critical news and issues impacting the Black community. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Vogue, and O, The Oprah Magazine. She is also a CNN political analyst.
The National Association of Black Journalists named Alford the 2018 Emerging Journalist of the Year, and she is the executive producer of the Pulitzer Center-supported documentary Afro-Latinx Revolution: Puerto Rico.
Alford graduated from Harvard University and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. According to theGrio, her debut book, American Negra, will be released in early 2024.
