Biography

Molly Ball is a staff writer for The Atlantic, where she covers national politics. She was awarded the 2012 Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting for her presidential campaign coverage.<br> <br> Ball joined The Atlantic in September 2011 from Politico. Previously, she was a reporter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Las Vegas Sun. She has also reported for newspapers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Cambodia, as well as The New York Times and The Washington Post. She is a graduate of Yale University and was a 2009 recipient of the Knight-Wallace journalism fellowship at the University of Michigan. In 2007, she won $100,000 on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”<br> <br> Ball grew up in Idaho and Colorado. She lives in Virginia with her husband and two children.<br> <br> — pbs.org
