Since 1987, managed complex field endeavors in the U.S and overseas, involving government research aircraft and highly skilled flight crews, usually operating in some of the world’s most severe weather, while keeping safety first and a constant eye on budgets as well. While flying since 1983, coordinated these flight teams into severe weather, including Category Five hurricanes, acquiring scientific-quality weather data while assuring crew safety.

Trained in shipboard and air-search radar, safely navigated Coast Guard cutters and commercial aircraft crossing the Atlantic. Field trained in navigation, used all forms of navigation technology (LORAN, bathymetry, radar, piloting, sextant) to keep the ship safe from here to there when responding to Search and Rescue cases in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
