Kathryn Rooney Vera serves as Partner and Director of Macroeconomic Strategy at Bulltick Capital Markets Holdings, LLC, Research Division. She is responsible for the analysis of Latin American economies and markets as well as the effects of U.S. monetary and fiscal policy on this region. Ms. Vera was previously a Senior Macroeconomic Strategist and Macroeconomic Strategist at the firm. Prior to her current position, she served as an Economist and Strategist at Bear Stearns in Emerging Markets Fixed Income Research, where she covered the Latin America region. Prior to such appointment, Ms. Vera worked on the buy-side as a sovereign analyst at MetLife Investments where she conducted in-depth economic analyses on emerging markets. She is a frequent contributor to major newswires and local press in Latin America, and often appears on financial news networks (Bloomberg Television, Fox Business, CNN, CNN en español, CNBC). Ms. Vera contributes to Reuters, Dow Jones, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Latin Finance. She holds a Masters of Business degree specializing in Economics and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Spanish Literature from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
