Rebecca Nagle is a citizen of Cherokee Nation and a two spirit (queer) woman. Nagle is a community organizer and writer currently living in Baltimore, MD. Nagle was recently named one of the National Center American Indian Enterprise Development’s 2016 Native American 40 Under 40 for her work to address violence against Native Women. Nagle has also been recognised as Baltimore’s 2016 Sondheim Art Prize recipient, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts 2015 100 List for innovators and thought leaders, and Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in 2012. Nagle’s organizing and advocacy work has received national press including coverage from NBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, NPR and more. Nagle has led trainings for the National Sexual Assault Conference, National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, National LGBTQ Task Force, and many colleges, tribal communities, and volunteer groups.<br> <br> — womensmediacenter.com
