Biography

Mr. James K. Kallstrom served as Senior Advisor to the Governor for Counter-Terrorism from 2002 to 2007 and oversaw all matters relating to counter-terrorism and security for the State of New York. In this capacity, Mr. Kallstrom was responsible for Counter-Terrorism Planning and Operations for the State of New York. Mr. Kallstrom is a recognized expert on security, counter-terrorism, management and government/public affairs issues. He was New York State’s point of contact with The White House Office of Homeland Security. A United States Marine Corps Captain and Vietnam War veteran, Mr. Kallstrom also worked for FBI for over 25 years, retiring with the title of Assistant Director in Charge, New York Division. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Quantum Secure, Inc. He is a Co-Founder and the Chairman of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation (MCLEF.org). He is the long-time Host of “The FBI Files” shown weekly on the Discovery Channel. He was a Task Force Member on the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force report entitled, “America Still Unprepared - America Still in Danger”. Mr. Kallstrom has appeared numerous times on national television shows commenting on law enforcement and terrorism issues. In addition to his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts, Mr. Kallstrom holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University. He has also been awarded Honorary Doctorate Degrees from Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts and Long Island University.<br> <br> — bloomberg.com
