Introducing: EventsHorizon

Every producer, editor, and reporter knows the feeling: a hearing you would've clipped kicks off while you're staring at yesterday's news, or a mayor's press availability wraps before anyone in the newsroom knew it was on. Grabien has always been the fastest way to grab the clip once something's happening. Knowing what's about to happen has been every newsroom's own scramble across a dozen calendars. That’s the problem we’re trying to solve with our new feature. 

Today we're launching EventsHorizon at calendar.grabien.com — a free, public forward calendar of the newsmaker events Grabien tracks. Every Senate and House hearing, Federal Reserve speech, FOMC meeting, and major think tank forum, in one view, refreshed each morning. Federal government events run down the left column; everything else — Brookings, AEI, CFR, CSIS, Heritage, Carnegie, Atlantic Council — down the right, bucketed by how soon they're happening. Clicks go straight to the primary source: hearing video, event page, RSVP link. Built to plan coverage, brief your team, or just know what's coming before you're playing catch-up.

This is the first release. A daily 5:55 AM ET email digest is landing next, plus international coverage (Chatham House, NATO, UN and others) and an expanded Municipal Watch for major-city mayors. Future versions will make the federal hearings section interactive, so users can vote on the hearings where they want to ensure FedNet sets up a 1080 feed.
