Some helpful new stuff we've added to Grabien

07/07/2026

Media colleagues,

We are excited to share with you the latest round of improvements to Grabien:

  • In the NewsMonitor, users can now drag the players into their preferred layout and that order will be saved afterwards. Additionally you can create profiles of various NewsMonitor configurations, so it's easy to deploy, for example, all federal government programming on one screen. It's also possible to link to these NewsMonitor profile configurations.
  • In the NewsBase's Keywords statistics window, you can now build basic graphs to visualize the data.
  • All user settings are now login-based, so subaccounts can maintain different NewsMonitor/CityMonitor settings, different alerts, different delivery settings, etc.
  • Source fields for alerts now use partial matching. A user can enter "Seattle," for example, into the source field and receive alerts for content from all stations that have this city in the profile name.
  • In the NewsBase and RadioBank pages, you can now filter by media market.
  • We've applied many fixes and improvements relating to the support of vertical videos.
  • Transcript files can now be downloaded as PDFs or Word files.
  • On the MyMedia page, there have been several speed optimizations, specifically related to moving large batches of files between playlists.
  • When creating clips, users can now expand the profile section to add metadata (previously available only to staff). The LiveClipper and NewsClipper both now offer the ability to choose output formats, a feature previously available only on the standard Clipper.
  • The icon detailing the progress of clip conversions is now much more accurate.
  • For Grabien's exclusive Publishers, their NewsBase recordings are now listed on their public user page.
  • LiveShare now has RTMP broadcasting keys that enable multiple simultaneous broadcasts.
  • Clients' Sales page features new filters (e.g.,  name, date) [user request]
  • If an enterprise subscription lapses due to a card’s expiration, rather than being locked out, users now see a message with a link to reactivate the subscription. [user request]
  • On users' profile page, you can now enter an additional billing contact name, email, and address. If entered, any financial notifications will also be sent to this contact, and this information will be listed in the "Bill to" column on user invoices. Clients can also now update their primary email associated with the account.

That's it for today.

Happy clipping,

Tom Elliott, Grabien
