surveillance tools Where does ░░░░░░░░ FISA reauthorization go next ░░░░░░░░ COLLINS Well that s ░░░░░░░░ great question You and ░░░░░░░░ have been talking about ░░░░░░░░ issue for a long ░░░░░░░░ The FISA issue is ░░░░░░░░ that we need to ░░░░░░░░ time now to actually ░░░░░░░░ only look at these ░░░░░░░░ and remember there s ░░░░░░░░ parts to FISA there ░░░░░░░░ the actual FISA part ░░░░░░░░ is in law that ░░░░░░░░ the court that was ░░░░░░░░ up in the 70s ░░░░░░░░ is in permanent law ░░░░░░░░ doesn t come up ░░░░░░░░ renewal And then you ░░░░░░░░ extra parts that came ░░░░░░░░ through the Patriot Act ░░░░░░░░ others like the lone ░░░░░░░░ provision roving wiretaps those ░░░░░░░░ that do come up ░░░░░░░░ a sunset so we ░░░░░░░░ to approve those And ░░░░░░░░ position and I think ░░░░░░░░ House s position and ░░░░░░░░ m sure the President ░░░░░░░░ mentioned this as well ░░░░░░░░ now is our time ░░░░░░░░ actually look at what ░░░░░░░░ to happen with the ░░░░░░░░ itself so that we ░░░░░░░░ t get another Carter ░░░░░░░░ we don t get ░░░░░░░░ president like President Trump ░░░░░░░░ a candidate and as ░░░░░░░░ was attacked by rogue ░░░░░░░░ at the DoJ abusing ░░░░░░░░ FISA process We ve ░░░░░░░░ working on this for ░░░░░░░░ a year and a ░░░░░░░░ and I think the ░░░░░░░░ right now is in ░░░░░░░░ position to pass anything ░░░░░░░░ doesn t have some ░░░░░░░░ title I change which in abuse ░░░░░░░░ our system and it ░░░░░░░░ something that goes back ░░░░░░░░ the very integral part ░░░░░░░░ what the DoJ does ░░░░░░░░ when it comes to ░░░░░░░░ folks And when they ░░░░░░░░ President Trump when they ░░░░░░░░ then candidate Trump and ░░░░░░░░ to cover it up ░░░░░░░░ use FISA there s ░░░░░░░░ in this country that ░░░░░░░░ be immune from that ░░░░░░░░ of of abuse BARTIROMO
